So I may be letting the GPS go in the next 9 months or so.

I've really enjoyed the car, no trouble, plenty fun & still good looking & rattle free.

What next...Not a Fiat I want a change, any / either would be 2 years old up to 20,000 miles on and petrol (as I dont do anywhere nearenough miles to warrant a diesel these days) and normally aspirated. In order of preference below, all around 1.6 - 1.8 litres give or take.
Honda Civic
Ford Focus 1.6 Sport
Kia Cee'd
Vauxhall Astra
Hyundai i30

Any other suggestions in the sector? (not Fiat)

finally got bored of diesel cars then? :p based on looks alone i'd go for the astra, but no experience with any of those cars.

Lol nah... you wouldnt get bored of my car! ;)
Focus Sport is favourite now as I really like the reviews I've read on ride, next is a test drive, I just know I'll miss my almost 200Bhp though...

you havent said a budget...

id have a bmw 3 series ci though.

7 - 8K Beau... Beemer too big for the drive (4 cars on it) & not good enough fuel wise.

ok....

1 series then :)

or mini cooper s? ok so both would be older than 2 years but both would be a MUCH better car than what you've listed and more reliable.

I want a newer lower mileage car Beau... its not for show lol!

Hate the Mini pretender with a passion & the 1 Series makes the owner look like he wanted to be rich but never made it....

well get a 59 plate panda/ka 1.2 tbh then :)

Lol.... nah.... 6 foot 2 15 stone in a Panda.... :p

Focus looks even more attractive.. and I did say "not another Fiat..."

My focus is a 1.6 abeit a bit of an older car but i think its essentially the same engine

I cant fault it, its no worldbeater but there is decent enough go when needed, the MPG in mine isnt currently too cracking but i arent a steady driver and its due for service anytime, i also think theres a blow in the exhaust

But mechanically Ive not had one problem with it (touch wood) and it has never failed an MOT ever with 1 advisory on a tyre in 4 previous MOT's

ive only had to buy tyres for it

I dont know if the sport is a renamed zetec model, but i would recommend going for either this or a zetec.

Dont go for an LX or a ghia because they use standard ford suspension and it isnt as good as the one on zetec (and probably the sport) models as they use some of the components in the suspension that is in the ST and RS and its better in the corners

If you are looking at the 'new' shape focus, avoid the sport, its not sporty at all, it was a cut price fleet/hire edition. It has the black plastic door handles and some rubbish alloys but it has the worst understeer ever, I think its a boggo one with some wheels and a badge. Get the Zetec trim or above if you go for one, much nicer, if you like dangerous amounts of lift off oversteer that is hehe
