Just got a call from my brother in India, he informed me we are getting a brand new BMW 730Ld. The car is expected by end of June 2009.

But it is costing once again due to high customs almost £130,000 after insurance and registration.

I am very excited, although some people prefer the S class, but this car comes with so much techy stuff as standard.

love the 7 Series. we had a 745li not long ago and it was awesome.

how much? i could get a top spex 760 Li for that and insure it in my own name (only 20 yo lol) for that much........

Not only that, but there is some ridicluous amount of import duty ~130% IIRC

NO IT"S NOT, WE HAVE EVERYTHING.

We are manufacturing BMWs and Mercs and even Fiats !! Please dont underestimate any one !!

Only the 7 and X6 are being imported. The high taxation on imported cars is due to the fact that the government wants to promote domestic trade.

130,000 for a German taxi , save the money & go and see a shrink

Why not just have 100 of these for that money

and sell them on at profit as demand outstrips supply

if its only the 7 and x6 they import... why not buy a stupidly specced up M5?
