Alfa 147 JTD

the 147 had a variety of 1.9JTD models. there is a 115bhp model called "1.9 JTD". you dont want that. the 1.9JTD 16v has 140bhp, its a good choice. the 1.9JTDm 16v has 150bhp and is the best choice. there is also a 1.9 JTDm with 120bhp, dont get caught out thinking its one of the better models just because its an m-jet.

dont get a turismo because its the base model, you want a lusso. plenty had the optional leather fitted on the 2.0 so try to get one of those, its amazing leather.

they're absolute bargains, and great to drive, and look sexy, so its hard to see why you shouldnt buy one :D

My mate has a 1.6 lusso as you can see in my dp :p , ive loved it since day one he got it.. amazing to drive, pulls well for a heavy car with 120bhp... and did it mention its sexy :D

My mates got a 2007 1.6TS and I got to drive it for the first time the other day. Great car, rubbish engine!

Well not rubbish but slow, has no umph... Even when you thrash the b###ocks off it. 1.9 JTDm 16v is the one to have. Have tried that engine in the bigger 156 and it goes well and responds nicely to a remap.

I have to say though (at city speeds) the handling seemed good and sense of occasion is so much better in an Alfa!

im definatly buying it! :D.
congrats. hope the sale completes ok.

the 1.6 in the 147 comes in 2 outputs, the better model (120bhp) has variable valve timing and a higher rev limiter at 7250rpm. its nippy for a 1.6 hatch and definately the only 1.6 model to get.

according to some people after rolling road tests, the 1.6 TS engines actually produce more power than advertised, however it's still a small engine. a recent example of a 145 1.6 having 132bhp standard, but then remapped to 144. while a JTS engine was measured at 135bhp!
