New Ford Ka

New Ford Ka

its a good looking fiat 500 with a better badge on the front so i'm sure it will outsell the 500 by a huge margin.

there is so much choice in the girl/gay car world these days.

all the people who thought the 500 was a mini competitor surely must now finally admit that the 500 isnt even in the same sector, either that or they have to also suggest the ka is a mini competitor.

Why didnt ford just buy a load of puntos, give em a clean and stick there ford badge on the front.
wtf has a punto got to do with it?

the 500/ka project was a joint venture, so the ka is a ford and the 500 is a fiat. ford havent taken a 500 and made it pretty, they were involved with development form the very benginning. ka is as much a ford as the 500 is a fiat.

wow that actually looks not too bad. though obviously all the "safety" and crash protection features make it "chubby". i wouldn't mind one that had been on the atkins;). but then a lot of new cars are carrying a lot of unneccessary weight.

the 159 is pure sex :worship:

mainly due to its aggressive front end that makes use of staight lines and weird angles, proving you can still make a "pedestrian safe" car that looks evil. so, why the hell isnt anyone else doing it?!

i dont want my car to say "hello i want to be your best friend, lets hug". it should say "get out of my way you little bitch or i'll rape you". the 159 defo says that with its huge frown and dark eyes.

Looks more "corsa like" to me

The old shape was better, its only real let down was its low tech old fashioned engine.

I used to take the mick out fo the Ka, until i had one as a courtesy car, I didnt want to take it back!! a year or so later we bought one as a second car but only kept it about a year when finances changed.

When I was in the market for my Cinq, a Ka was my first choice, but the engines were mega rattly, and rust was well set in around the fuel tank filler and arches on the cars that I could afford. I am glad I bought a Cinq.

the engines were mega rattly
adjust valve clearances once a year and they're silent. its an easy DIY job that is meant ot be done at every service. all you need is a feeler gauge (£3)

most HCS engined fords have never had it done once in their life, so by 30k they sound like a bag of hammers and by 60k they sound like a japanese toy factory getting h-bombed.

i agree. modern cars are round, fat and far too friendly looking. what ever happened to angles and lines and aggression?

oh and also don't forget to add ESP that way you can be lazy when designing cars and not have to worry about them being top heavy.

i want a car with the steering wheel connected to the wheels so you can feel how much grip you've got. a car light enough to be agile enough to go round corners without ploughing straight on without the need for fancy electronics. i want my tipo back

who gives a **** whether i'm going to die if i crash, as long as it's not from falling asleep at the wheel i don't care.

also i asume mpi has similar response to a proper twin choke carb. where as you push your foot down further the second barrel opens giving an extra kick of acceleration though i doubt it as it's more for emissions and economy (granted on a 1.4 tipo it wasn't really that much but it was enough to be felt especially so in lower gears).

i think i'm going to keep to older cars (not just because it's all i can afford) because they're so much more involving. but then i'm very attracted by all the toys of newer cars. shame they don't do proper designed modern cars.

That looks like the Corsa i think. But the corsa is nicer. I dont like ka's anymore since i had mine.
