ANyone had a crack at this before? Any special tools? Have one to do on saturday. Only have a trolleyjack as well, got to be done on mates drive :rolleyes: Better be bloody sunny. :)
Any helpful hints appreciated. Cant see it being a big job tbh.
 
never had a duratec gearbox off, but i hope you do not intend to keep the car raised on a trolley jack, you at least need 2 axle stands, then use the jack to support & lower the gearbox.

Did a 54 reg 1400 Fiesta clutch the other day on the floor. You will want to fit a new release bearing/slave cylinder as its one piece and prone to leaking. It is not accessable from outside the gearbox-they are around the £50 mark if I remember. You dont need any special tools and its a straight forward job so ne worries there. Good luck.
