168bhp as standard. I think its a good comparison to a tweaked Fabia vRS after reading the figures of what this engine produces. Maybe this Mini I came across was tuned aswell...?

Anyway, the PD130 engine is a great motor to have in little cars like the Ibiza/Polo/Fabia. Its more matched to the warm Fiesta ST, where in standard tune the cars would be about even. But remap the diesel and it sails past no problem. However, the hot hatches like the Cooper S, 182, Cupra 1.8T are in my experience - faster!

hmm thats the problem, my cars fast for what it is and is faster than the 182's and cupras etc.. and all my m8s have told me that I'd be bored of the diesel quite quickly, just waiting for the seat to be built so I can have a test drive at my local garage lol

Aint no getting bored of a diesel unless you drive purely for the engine note.

It doesnt rev as high, true, but the gearing means its similar speeds as in a petrol. (while the 6th on the sport 130 does 39mph per 1000 revs! for insane economy!)

It pulls like a tank, and has the consumption of an anorexic ant. They are very different to petrols in how they perform, but in no way boring.

Wow just noticed the non-Fiat section!!! How long has this taken to arrive :p :p :D

On the test drive, you will almost certainly be well impressed with the car. You'll love the way it kicks you in the back everytime you put your foot down but at the same time you'll forget the fact you're not really revving it and wont be going as fast as the equivilent petrol.

Anyway, like you say the only way to find out is to test it!

Good luck (y)
