Hi all,
I have been browsing this forum for months. I have just signed up as a member as I have just purchased my first Cinq.
I have had loads of Fiat/Lancias in the past but currently need a small car for my winter commute. I usually ride to work on my motor bike but that is now off the road for winter.
I decided on a 'P' plate Cinq Sporting in standard trim as they are a superb little car offering you loads of tuning potential, loads of fun showing it off to friends/work people.
Most people hate them but I love them as they have loads of character. I purchased mine and I have listed all its faults I need/have tackled to date:
Needs different gearbox - Mine grinds upon take off, I have already changed the rear mount which helped but did not cure.
Replaced both lower front suspension arms - Rear bushes both shot
Has a slight missfire at low rpm - Plan to change plugs & leads, check all connectors but I suspect it will be a coil pack.
Rear wheel rumble - Suspect O/S/R bearing probably gone due to handbrake issues, I will change the whole lot a little later in the new year. I can live with it at the moment.
I bet some of you think why did he bother. I tell you why. I LOVE FIATS.
Thanks to all you lot in the forum as your sticky's & threads have helped me alot not only with this Cinq but on my other cars namely Punto Mk2 1.2 ELX.
