Yeah! Another Tempra user! Welcome to the forum :)
Thanks Danielle for your kind welcome. I have a 1994 TD Estate which I can honestly say is one of the best cars I have ever owned. I am happy joining the forum.

Honestly I don't like the Tempra very much but, hey, it is the car I have available for driving :)
I liked much more the Ritmo S75 we had before.

The 1995 Tempra 1.9 TD SX which we had before the Marea Weekend was perhaps the best car I have ever owned. I put some Japanese shocks on it and it could easily drive round expensive "aspirational" German metal (can't remember who made those shocks but they were dayglo orange and looked terriific behind the alloys) they gave brilliant roadholding, the Tempra already had great handling. That car was only sold out of the family last year and was still going well and passing it's MoT easily it just lacked air con. Fuel economy was outstanding and the unstressed mechanical injection diesel could be everlasting with proper servicing.

Thanks for the welcome PNL. Yes it is an older car and I was the second owner but it had full service history and bills for certain new parts. I had some overheating problems so had a new radiator fitted and cooling has been fine since. Being a rather large guy, the Tempra is comfortable for me and the electric mirrors and windows make life easier. I have had many different motors over the years but the Tempra really pleases me as it feels solid and
being an estate is perfect for taking our two dogs out as they just settle down in the rear space. Roadholding is excellent and fuel economy is good
when driven without over-revving. It is perfect for me.

Same with me Renegade. Read my last post to see that I agree with yourself. I am not interested in flash cars or Indianapolis 500 performance. I just want a car to do some local shopping, visit family, and to do so safely. So far the Tempra has given me these benefits and it is a car that I have confidence in.
