Hello everyone:) , found this forum yesterday when searching the web for Fiat paint info although I came to no results, the question is this: Is the Fiat Grande Punto's Exotica Red special colour a Ferrari Red? .

Anyway, this forum looks great and busy. While visiting the Punto section I got a bit down 'cos you Brits get much more for your money. Down here cars are expensive as hell:bang:.

I'm a Fiat Fanatic and up to now this is what I had:

1997 Fiat Punto 75SX 3drs Black
2002 Fiat Seicento Sporting (facelift model) Yellow
2002 Fiat Punto ELX 16V 3drs Black
1988 Fiat Uno 45 Fire 5drs Light Blue.

Current Fiat:

2006 Fiat Grande Punto Active 1.4 8v 3drs Exotica Red.

I grew up with a white Fiat 1300 followed by a 1983 Fiat 127 Comfort (903cc).

Hi Puntokris:) . I'm from a town called San Gwann, it's in the Sliema/St Julians/Paceville area. It's true that we have lots of nice cars especially old ones running aaround, some in great shape others a bit less and also scrap cars still being driven around like Marinas and Hunters. We have lots of Ferrari cars too but only rich business men afford such toys. New cars are expensive. Lately dealers are importing 2nd hand Japanese cars directly grom Japan, we're flooded with these bloody things:mad: .

it's nice where you live, i like paceville haha :yum: i saw quite a few ferraris last time i was over there. yea there are alot of older cars but not as much as there used to be, jap imports are ok until they break. what are you thinking of doing to your punto?

With the introduction of VRT (similar to MOT but not that strict) many oldies found their way to the scrap heap although still some dangerous machines are still on the roads (well we're living in Malta where everything is possible apparently).

Fiats I like most are the 127 Sports (127 GT in UK), 131 Racing (131 Sport in Uk), Ritmo 105/130TC and modern stuff, Cinq/Seis and Puntos. I'm a diehard Fiat enthusiast. Will try to post some pics.

As for my GP there's nothing planned except for a set of alloys and maybe and induction kit made specifically for GPs. I'm also considering the Fiat tail pipe chromey bit too. That will be it, don't wanna spend too much on it 'cos if I like the replacement model I'll change it and may also consider the upcoming retro 500 if well priced (unlike the New Mini and New Beetle).

Well i'm on my third punto now in less than a year so i'm kind of an enthusiast myself, yea i do like the old fiats, and you see alot of 'classics' in malta haha, should be visiting in october i think so i'll keep an eye out.

The prices of cars are crazy in malta, my uncle came to england and bought a van then drove it back to malta because it was chaeaper!!
