Newbie - Uno Turbo Owner

Hi all,

I discovered this site via a link from turbo colective (the uno site).

I own a G Plate (Mk2) Uno turbo which is a bit of a beast. It runs 1 bar of boost and shifts along quite nicely! This is my third uno turbo, they are fantastic cars, very fast and rare, yet still you can pick them up for under £1.5k.
I did try and sell my uno a few weeks ago on ebay but it didn't meet the reserve so I have decided to keep her for a while as I know I'll only end up buying another one, and this one has been the most reliable so far....

I also own a few Mk1 Mr2s as these are my favourite cars, I will soon be attempting a Mk1.5 conversion - Mk2 Mr2 turbo lump in a Mk1. My daily driver is currently my 1988 Mr2 supercharger, my Uno is in my parents garage probably until next winter.

I hope there are a few Uno Turbo owners on this forum? I live near Hemel Hempstead if there are any local owners??

Hi Ollie, just thought I'd say hello, as I'm new to this site too, and am a bit partial to Uno turbos! Hemel Hempstead is not too far from Northants, especially when you're driving a nice turbo! You'll have to give me a shout if there are any local events, and vice versa.

By the way which strut brace you got on your car? Is it a sparco one as i need to replace my OMP one as it gets in the way of my header tank cap.

Hi, thanks for the welcome. Yeah I bought the UT from Southampton direction last October. The previous owner is doing a turbo conversion on the Civic I think.
And I'm not sure what the strut brace is mate, I'll have a look and see if there are any markings on it. The Uno is tucked away at the moment in my parents garage. I'm enjoying some supercharged power at the moment!
