Hello all!
I've just : Joined FF, bought my first car, and, realised I've lost my provisional documents!
I'm hoping to: get another provisional[!], pass my test ASAP, then make my M-Reg Punto EL [M671 YGO] nice n' shiney.
It's currently: Pink [time for a little red T-Cut methinks], not quite roadworthy [brakepipes rusted to sh*t ], and in need of a little T.L.C.
I'm hoping this'll be a voyage of discovery, and a nice way to pass the time. But though i'm 21, I am new to all this; so hopefully you guys/gals can help me along my way and help me to get that little beast rolling!
First question - This car was recalled 2n'abit years ago for the brakepipe replacement program. But now I see that the front-rear pipes are really very rusty, especially where they coil behind the fuel tank, and on other bends. Do you think this means they didn't replace them before? Does this normally happen within 2 years? They are currently about 3-4mm thick, and appear to be powder-coated in light grey.
Pictures of car [as it is now] and pipes can follow if requested...
Thanks in advance! Sam ;-)
