Hello everyone!

My name's Xavier.
I'm a Dutch exchange student staying in the Coventry area for the coming 4 months to study Transportation Design.
Just before my journey to the UK I acquired a beautiful black 2001 Fiat Panda Young 1.1 as I didn't know what to expect of British Public transport and thought I'd help me to discover more of your country other than just the ''usual'' places and to get me around in general. Although, these were just ''wise'' excuses to justify the purchase to my brain as my heart already longed for a Panda since long before. The Panda will have to endure the wet and cold British winter, which hurts my heart a bit, but it's well prepared. Before I bought it, it got a lot of maintenance done as well as all the rusty spots were taken care of. I added wheel tubbs in the front and some gorgeous Carello rally lights which I hope to get working with some help from people in the area but I'll post a separate thread for that.
I hope to meet some Panda enthusiasts in the area and maybe do a little drive together, maybe even go to an event if they're still on.
If you see a black Panda with big Carello's up front and Dutch plates, be sure to give us a honk or a wave! And please, excuse me if I'm still getting used to driving left haha.

Cheerio!

What a lovely looking car. Brings back memories of my two Pandas.

It is a great car for whatever the British winter may throw at it. But, we put a lot of salt on our roads in winter, so be sure to hose it underneath regularly. My 1993 CLX was well protected underneath, so hopefully Fiat didn't forget that on later models.

I'm a bit too far south to see you around, but good luck with your studies, and enjoy Britain while you're here. Keep checking this forum for events, as everyone will be pleased to meet you.

Thanks for your kind reply!
I've already had a meeting with someone from the Panda UK facebook group, so nice!
