thanks for the ad. ive joined as i need some advice on my 2014 fiat 500s. got an advisory for play in wishbone bolts. so i have purchased a new wishbone and bolt but the bolt is loose in the rear bush. anyone know what are the correct bolts to use? thanks in advance dave

Does the left and right bolts look the same or has one been replaced compare with the other side? If need be and you only need one, buy a genuine Fiat bolt, given it holds the wheel on?
Think they're 12mm metric fine

Genuine bolt is M12 x 80 fine thread. Front and rear wishbone mounting which go through the bush....
It's difficult to understand what you mean.
Advisory for play in rear bush would make more sense. If bolt was loose I would say there's something a bit more serious.
Have you tried to replace the wishbone?

thnx for reply paul999, mot says .suspension pin or bush worn.Ive been into the fiat dealer with my after market wishbone, bought 2 fiat bolts none of which seemed a tight fit in either bush. We then tried his fiat wishbone and was exactly the same as mine. The inner diameter of the rear bush was about 3mm too wide for the bolt shaft. Ive fit wishbones to different makes before and everything was a tight fit. Am I missing something. He had no other part numbers for bolts other than the ones I bought? cheers .

Hi john, Thank you for your reply. Ive bought 2 fiat bolts and an aftermarket wishbone in readiness. But when I tried the bolts in the wishbone bushes they feel loose especially the rear bush. We tried the bolts in the original fiat wishbone when I bought them and the fiat wishbone was the same with the inner diameter of the rear bush being 3mm too big for the bolt shaft. I just want to know this is correct before i start taking the car to bits. The car only has 30k on it and all looks original in the wishbone area. thanks for any light you can shed.

I replaced our lower control arms with Lemforder brand, the bolts were a tight fit in all locations.
Agreed.
d taylor I have also done quite a few. Just replaced them on the wife's '15 plate 500.
I bought Meyle HD which came with new bolts which were identical to the original ones I took out.
Keep away from Fiat dealers for a job like this, they will empty your wallet!
If you can't do it yourself then find a reputable indi. They will have seen a lot of these before.
If you are doing it yourself then do both sides. Chances are the other one will need changing soon and you need the front bumper off.
