Panda 2012+ Just bought a 4x4

Picked mine up last week. My friends initially think it is a bit odd but get it when they have a good look and a drive round the block. Great fun, my BMW hasn’t moved since I picked up the Panda.

Hello! Sorry, didn't see the responses - how do I turn on notifications?

Got the car and loving it so far. All the toys work, it's more fun than I expected to drive! I'd read a few gripes that people had about them - poor headlights, dodgy stereo/bluetooth but all seem unfounded so far - took it for a spin down some dark country lanes last night and the lights are fine. Also the stereo connects to my phone fine, displays my Spotify tunes, works with Google Maps. Only niggle is it takes 15 secs to connect from start, so I get a few secs of Radio 2...

Aftermarket stuff that was fitted by previous owner were parking sensors (and maybe the tinted windows) - all work ok. I'm thinking of getting a tow bar; the sensors are fitted quite high in the bumper so it shouldn't need any special electronics to disable them if a towbar is fitted. May also make a cargo box for the boot as (I tend to carry a lot of tat) to make the back load level with the seats folded down. I won't use the rear seats anyway as I'm tall so there is no legroom in the back!

The only thing I didn't like is that it comes with a rubber band tyre repair kit, so I've order a 'NOS' space saver spare. Not my first choice, but I don't like the idea of putting a full size wheel on a roof rack; I'm getting a welder soon (for working on my other vehicle, a VW T25 Syncro) so fancy a side project - I'll be looking into making a rear wheel carrier. Yet to decide/work out if I'll make something that hangs off the towbar, or is fixed some other way.
