As soon as ignition switched on it indicates left regardless of position of steering column switch.
I have taken steering column switch off and looked inside, the mechanics of it look good. Could this be a relay, if so which one is it.
L am new to this site so I hope I have done this correctly.

With the column switch removed.. did the hazards work conventionally ??

I went out and checked hazards as you suggested and they worked perfectly normally.
So while I was out there I reconnected steering column switch assembly which I had taken apart and cleaned and checked. I was amazed when it worked as it should. Cant see what I did really, so I expect fault will come back sooner or later, hoping it will be much later! Thanks again
