Hi to all Panda owners. Just purchased a 1992 Panda Selecta and putting it back on the road. It’s my Daughter’s first car. The Forum has helped already with the tailgate lock repairs. Thanks and I’ll keep you posted on progress

Yup, they get right under your skin don't they! We've had a Panda in the family since my Daughter started uni - She's now a middle aged mum with one teenage child and another of 10 years! Right now we have a Panda and my older boy has a Punto. When my younger boy's very old Astra packs in it'll most likely be replaced by a Tipo estate.

Welcome to the forum, lots of good advice and knowledgeable people on here.

Thanks. Recommissioning continues, just usual issues, but thankfully body all solid. Do you know if the switchgear should light up - the dashboard speedo lights up when lights on but should the hazards, fog switch etc also light up? Thanks

My Sisley doesn't have lit up switches on the left - it does have a bulb in the back near the red square for the heater controls I think but it has never worked (not that I've ever tried to fix it)

Centre switchgear lighting was pretty unusual, it does exist so a few models had it but most didn't. Easiest dash in the world to get apart and have a look though, undo the screws across the bottom and the whole dash front unclips and you'll see the switchgear is a single block. Unscrew that and you'll either have a clear acrylic part across the back with a single bulb fitting in it, or... not.

Thanks for the lighting info. Recommissioning progressing well

Regards to all. We have had a Panda in our family for 17 years. We bought her when she was only 3 years old. The car is from 2002 and this year it celebrates its 20th anniversary ;)

Morning. Nice to hear of another Selecta going back on the road.
My 1993 Selecta does now have the illuminated switches. There was no bulb in the holder and the bulb was just rattling about behind the switches. Popped the bulb back in and voila ….
