Hi all hoping someone can help. I have a 2011 punto sporting evo 135bhp. I have had many things stop working all at once which seem to be linked to a 7.5amp fuse in glovebox. Each time I replace the fuse everything is back working until I press the clutch pedal and boom it lights up like a Christmas ?. The list of items that stop workingare rear demister, reverse light, hill start,stop/start,esp,air con, blue and me,cruise control, full beam, fog lights. I have replaced battery and brake light switch. Any help greatly appreciated. Kevin

Well I had a look at clutch pedal but couldn't see or make out if there was a switch. Is it similar to the brake light switch? Also any pics of location or part number.

Thank you. I have managed to remove the old one(awkward)and have ordered replacement part. Thank you so much for advice and help. I will let you know if this cures the problems listed. Thanks again

The fuse hasn't blown since I removed the old one but strangely the list of problems it caused haven't gone away either. Im hoping to fit the new part tomorrow and see if the problems suddenly disappear although I am not convinced they will.

Ok thanks I will look into that once the new switch is fitted. Many thanks

Ok so I have fitted the new clutch pedal switch and the fuse hasn't blown but the list of issues are still there. It only shows 1 fault on my OBD reader which is generic so not much use. Any ideas as to what next?

What will that actually do? Is it a better scan or am I being dim?

A cheap generic OBD reader will look at engine fault codes, some might be fancy and look airbag codes and there are some codes that will be picked up no matter where they are but if all your problems are related to electronic stability control systems which it sounds like they are (clutch switch tells the Ecu when the clutch is pressed so it doesn’t try to apply power to a wheel if there is no connection between the wheels and the engine)

It is likely MES (fully registered and with the right cables) will be able to access the engine, body, abs computers all that manage there own fault codes some of which your scanner won’t be able to see

Ah I see. OK well I have a guy with the said reader who is looking at it tomorrow so fingers crossed he will get to the bottom of it. Thank you for your help thus far. I will update here as and when he has been.

Hi guys, so I had the electrics guy look at car yesterday. Apparently the new brake pedal switch was faulty/not working correctly so he replaced it with a new one. That what was showing on multi scan. All seems fine so far so will keep fingers crossed. Thanks for everyone's help. K.C
