Hello and greetings from the beautiful Skagit Valley, USA.

We bought a 2016 Fiat 500X Trekking model a couple of weeks ago as my wife's daily driver. She fell in love with in on the demo and that was it. Still getting to know "Beastie" as my lovely has dubbed it. My brain went to (of all things) an old Jethro Tull song by that name and think, "Oh, I hope not" LOL!!

We had a couple of questions about the intricacies of driving the car so I went to the ol' Google box and found this group in the search results. I think we will find the information and "helpful hints" among the threads to be quite valuable.

BTW, if you recognise the user ID tag you might guess the name of my favourite rock band

I imagine you and I have very similar taste in music - 2112 and Beastie - those happen to be tracks on two of my favourite albums!

Sadly I never got to see Rush, but have seen Mr Anderson and his standing-on-one-leg act many times.
Unfortunately due to the 'China virus' I wasn't able to see Steve Hacket; Thunder; Australian Pink Floyd; Roger Hodgson or Caravan over this year - all postponed.... dammit :bang:

It would seem we do have some musical tastes in common as well as being part of the Fiat family. I was raised in Ayrshire, Scotland as it happens. Not so very far from the Cotswolds. Lovely places to have a holiday around those parts.

Erm, I think you need to check the maps on that - the Cotswolds are a looooong way from Ayrshire - at least by British standards

Assume you know the 500x is a Jeep Renegade in arguably a better looking body. Might help if you have any issues that are US specific. Not many of us here have reversing cameras and engines can be different. You haven't given us details of your car. What engine and hoping you have the AWD where you live
