After having a Nissan xtrail 2.2 diesel for last 5 years, I've now got a 1.2 petrol Punto , I got it with near full tank and didnt have to even think about filling up for over a week and when i did-I couldn't get 30 quid in the tank?.
I've done a few bits to it so far....
*New wheel trims and valve caps(fiat logo)
*rear sunshades (genuine fiat ones)
*LED sidelight bulbs
*steering wheel cover (I prefer the feel)
*new blue trimmed floor mats
*new aerial (better reception for DAB)
*new stereo (got handsfree and USB back?)
*Upgraded rear speakers 230W JVC's
*new tailored boot liner mat (wipe clean )
*new aero blades
*HEKO wind deflectors
*Hoovered out old leaves and relocated spiders from engine bay (I think previous owners parked in a FOREST ?!!!)

It actually looks quite tidy now as I always like to add my touch to my cars .
Only getting around 32MPG at mo probably due to me driving like I STOLE IT !!
New air filter next (haven't checked it yet, might be fine?)
I hope to gain some knowledge etc from this forum in future so I'll see you all out there in the THREADS ?

Hi Jim and welcome :)

I liked my 188's

They drove nicely and were very practical

Floorpan rust is the usual killer
.. the 10+ year old factory underseal splits..and water uses it as a hammock :(

I saw the 28k miles car on ebay and thought for £550 thats a good car..

Unfortunately I replaced mine with modern diesels..

MPG in the 50/70 range.. not something the old FIRE engined 188 could touch..

Where are you based?
