Hello all,

I am a new joiner to the Fiat forum, my better half actually has the Fiat - 2012 Fiat 500 Twin Air Lounge. Great fun little car to drive around in, especially with ECO turned off. I'm a mechanical engineer who has messed round with cars/motorbikes for about the last 28 years. Other drives - VW Passat Estate and 06 Triumph Daytona 955i.

Sadly have no where enough time to indulge myself tinkering with cars or the space to properly set up my own workshop but I guess most people have similar issues.

Looking forward to the odd contribution as I have no doubt the little Fiat will give out both fun and some repair challenge while we have it.

I'm with you on not having enough time to play with cars but I'm sure you will find the forums invaluable.

I have no option, no drive no garage just a very wide foot path that I can put the car on to work on without inconveniencing pedestrians(picture car minus the entire rear axle due to corrosion making it unroadworthy )

MaxHeadroom - Yes first Italian car, I am hoping the electrical stuff is ok on it. I don't mind mechanical work but electrical stuff normally irritates me.... Not much to show on the car with a photo - it is standard white 500 Lounge edition which is still factory standard as far as I can tell. That said the good lady loves it and has already indicated she would like another on completion of this one.

John, I too have had to jack up the car to work on it on the side of the road. Last time I got my 8 year daughter to be my tool handler while I was underneath with it on stands. She loved it and laughed her little head off when I came out filthy.
