Hi, i have been wandering around on this forum for a few days now. Lots of good info. However i didn't find a solution to the many questions i have.

I'm a belgian who moved to Slovenian mountains 10km from italy.
My daily car is a toyota hilux 2018 but my wife hates it on the small mountain roads. So i bought her a panda 4x4 (to be honest i have been eyeballing these cars for since i was a kid) and since driving it the past few days i decidd i' like it so much i'm going to restore it. It has a 1100cc injection engine and it runs pretty good. the suspension is pretty bad and driver side front is 2cm lower.
Before i start grinding and welding i'm thinking of getting a better shell. panda's are dirt cheap here and plenty of them for sale. So my major question is if there it is possible to transplant all the 4x4 parts to a 2wd shell? As i can buy a 2wd panda for almost nothing that has almost no rust compared to my 4x4 i have time to strip and paint de 2wd shell (with cloth roof) while still driving around the 4x4.

Hey Bram,

it sounds like you're going to be restoring the Panda and your wife will have to go back to the hated Toyota Hilux!

Haha, it sure seems like it!
But it seems the previous owner already did the most of the work, it has aluminium floorsils rivetted in?! And the underside has been welded up on the with super thick Tubes i think with the idea of using these as rocksliders or something and the whole bottom has been rubbercoated. So far the only rust i found is under the taillight and on the bottom of the doors there are some spots. So i might be lucky :) i mean, my wife might be lucky :)
