Hello

new here soforgive any errors or other cockups

Is there anyone in the northwest area (non main dealer - bad experience - ideally near warrington but happy to travel) that can carry out a proxi alignment of a 2009 panda 1.2 dynamic eco

Or any suggestions of someone who knows what they are doing

The body control and ecu changed, everything working ok but mileage reading correctly but flashing.

Thanks in advance
Ian

Download the software from the MES website and get cables from authorised resellers like Gendan or UK Diagnostics.
Also check out Dan Billingham of Stourbridge someone on the Forum may know him.

hi thanks for replies. didnt see point in getting MES software and adaptors and learning how to use it for quick reset.
does anyone know if the correct albeit flashing odometer is a MoT fail ?
BTW cannot seem to find button for MES register. any more instructions.

thanks

not 100% its possible with MES

If you change the clocks you can only adjust them upwards to match

so I "THINK" it will only work if the body computer is from a higher mileage car.

It sounds like the replacement electronic item will need need to be "virginised". There are people who can do this with appropriate proof of ownership etc.
I've never done it so that's the limit of my understanding on what happens next.

OK.

thanks for the input

The replacement ECU and BCM are from a car with much higher mileage
I did not change my instrument cluster, although when I got the ECU and BCM I did obtain matching instrument cluster which I tried and the ODOmeter on that was flaSHING TOO !!! so I though well may as well have the correct mileage and the all the faults had been cured with the replacement ECU and BCM (and keys/locks etc)
To be honest its no big deal that miles is flashing, but trying to do it properly and I still dont know what situation is on an MoT.

OK.

MultiECUscan should work full version and ELM

CAN Setup / PROXI Alignment Procedure |INFO|ADJ| ELM

you can only increase the milage for obvious reasons

As for the MOT its a bit of a grey area. Certainly around 2012 mileage would be recorded as N/A

but now the MOT is electronic it will probably be flagged as suspicious even though its not a legal requirement

you can check here for all the document.

I am fairly sure the MOT station I used the last couple of times would be fine as they have seen the car before and know me.

Also suspect a main dealer would turn it into an issue

I put a car back on the road. After its MOT I got a letter from the police station, they wanted it for a day to make sure it wasn't a ringer. They just pick a few a few flagged cars at random.
