My wife has a 2009 petrol (1100) panda.
The only way we can open the back door is with the key, on her last panda we were able to open the door with the handle.
does anyone know if it can be made to open with the handle, or why they would have changed it?

Im guessing its a lower spec car

Our 2004 was key only

The ones that open manually use a microswitch.. normally linked to the Remote Central Locking

Do you have RCL..
I suspect not...2 plain keys

(The microswitches are tempramental..

I would be ok with a key)

Alternative:

Fit a cable release mechanism

So you can pop the lock from the drivers seat
