Hi All!

My fiat 500 battery died on me yesterday so I bought a new one and fitted it this morning.

It obviously isn’t a stop start battery as nkw I have the icon displayed on my dash and the warning triangle too, is there anyway I can deactivate them?

Or do I need to re buy a battery that has the stop start? I never use stop start to be honest

I have another Fiat 500 with stop/start, however the framework will not work. It has been returned to the carport various occasions in light of the fact that the stop/start doesn't put forth a concentrated effort when it should, and when it does it does so actually for a couple of moments. I drive for the most part in a city and am unsettled. Any thought what the issue may be?

The stop start is programmed only to work if the battery has enough energy to restart the car .

If the battery dies not have much energy reserve ,stop start will not work and an orange light comes on.

There are other situations where stop start does not operate, engine temperature too low etc read your owner hand book section about stop start.

Bon chance

Jack
