Hi all,
I am trying to navigate around this forum and struggling.
I wanted to find out if anyone had a locking wheel nut 272
as my car was serviced on 23rd March- the day of the lockdown and the garage didn't return it.
So, driving around unable to get a wheel off if I have a puncture.
How could I put this out to everyone?
I am happy to pay for it and postage

Are you a member of a breakdown service? Or most tyre places can get it off for a fee and it won't be reusable often so you'll need a spare nut?

Nut..?

If somebody lends them the correctly fitting key..

They can put the original BOLTS from the key sets plastic case back on the car..

I was thinking if they used a "removal tool" it maybe unusable?

i read he don't need it off now he just wants to replace the lost key to keep

It is pessimistic but not impossible. So you´re out there in the dark with a flat tyre, the AAA won´t come because they are off service for corona, nobody stops for help because of social distance. Bugger...
You might try to take a socket (1/2") that just about does NOT fit on the secure bolt head and a mid sized hammer to hammer it on. That should help in case of emergency, it´s how thieves usually do it. The secure bolt will probably be mangled afterwards, but it will bring you home.

I buy them on eBay for £24.99, come within a couple of days.

sods law if he needs it it will be when they are shut and he has no key. as soon as he gets one there is less chance of needing it

This is where I get them from. I normally take a photograph of the pattern and they tell me the code and then I can order it from them. You already know the code, so just message them to make sure they have it in stock.
