Greetings All from New Zealand.

I have owned fiats since my second car, a 1972 128 1100 in 1986. I loved them all. a 600D, 800, 124 Special T, Mk1 Uno, Mk2 Uno and right now a 2006 Grande Punto 1400 sporting.

Living with Fiats is always interesting, and there have been some disappointments but many more special moments. I'm looking forward to joining in the forums and learning and sharing along the way.

I recently experienced a first! In 34 years of motoring I've owned over 40 cars, but I have never bought a second set of tyres. I have never owned a car long enough to use up a set of tyres, until now. I bought my Punto in 2014 with 76,000km on it. and at around 100,000 fitted it with new tyres. Four years later and about 25,000 km a new set were needed and 'Mussolini's revenge' my blue baby, has been treated to Dunlop SP Sports. Much better than the tyres they have replaced. 25,000 km on a set of tyres isn't brilliant IMHO. (Nothing to do with the way it is driven) Interestingly all four tyres wore out at the same time. (excellent driving too I'm sure)

Every time I drive my car I like it more, the paint is getting scruffy and the interior has some signs of use but it still gets second looks and positive comments. And it goes! Like a cut cat! the 6 speed manual is the best gearbox I've ever owned and reason enough to keep the car for ever.

Looking forward to getting to know you and get known.
Peter
