Hi there, I am new on this forum and I have a question about my wife's Fiat 500. We have a 1.2L pop which has been leaking coolang for the last few days. From what I could see, I could not find any evidence of a radiator leaking, or the top hose. The only evidence of a leak is the red coolant liquid on the floor underneath the car. I took a picture where the top hose is attached to the crankcase and there seem to be some evidence of wet patches, however it is not clear to me that the coolant come from there. It kind of looks like it is coming from underneath the engine, on the right handside when looking towards the front of the car. Anyone would have any clue as to what it might be?

No issue with white smoke or emulsion in the oil. Everything seems to be fairly clean there.

what could it be? just underneath the top hose end it looks wet but when wiped I could not see much red liquid. When I wiped underneath the car, near the exhaust (right underneath the engine), I defintely caught the collant liquid there.

Yep thermostat just to the left of the battery prime candidate , be careful with the bleed screw once replaced!
£20 for a new one this weekend from ECP remember new clips too and antifreeze pink
Also a good time to replace all the coolent?

Also check for water dripping from around the crank pulley sensor. Water from the water pump makes it's way down to there from inside the cam belt cover.

Hi all, I am the proud new owner of a 2013 500c Twin Air - loving the car very much but within days noticed the coolant levels drop VERY quickly.

No white smoke from exhaust, no emulsion in oil/oil cap and it's certainly not overheating (I'm in Australian climate FYI, and the temp gauge sits on the 50% mark happily)

So the optimist (fool?) in me is hoping it's a dodgey hose, or thermostat housing. I'll take it into my mechanic ASAP but wondering if anyone can provide their input/experience to date, is it possible that i'm inflicting damage on the car despite it not overheating? I am topping the coolant up and checking it at least once per day until I can get to mechanic.

Thanks in advance folks
