Hi guys hope you can help. My punto 1.4 8v 59 reg has blown f3 fuse a couple of times now and it's only when the weather is hot. Had it 12 months last time it did this was April and has just blown it again today replace fuse and it's all working again. Can any body point me in right direction to start looking.
Cheers

Found problem today checking the wiring loom from the ignition switch found that the orange wire from switch to body module has been rubbing on the steering module causing f3 fuse to blow. So taped up wires and cable tied away from steering. Thanks for the link info.

Ahhh, bad earth and chafered/naked wires ... very annoying, specially when intermittent faults !

Anyway, thanks for your update, job well done ! Feeling proud no ?? ;-)

Cheers, Bernie

No worries. Well done for sorting it.:slayer:

I had one of those switch on the charge warning light (car was not a Fiat). New alternator - light still on. Traced the wires and found the chafe in 10 minutes. Oh well the repair bloke did say the alternator was worn out.
