Hello new member here...I'm a very small scale farmer in the mountains of Eastern Crete .I grow olives for oil , Grapes for wine and vegetables ...Most of the time I use a Mazda4x4 truck but I have just bought a Fiat Idea , 1.4 petrol 2004 low millage, it drives very well ,smooth and quiet (after the Truck) with loads of power and bags of space ...Today is the first time I have really looked at it ,and I found very few things that might need attention ....so I thought I would sign up here in case I need any tips or advice and share any tips and advice in return ...many thanks for letting me join....

Well ,I've had the Idea for a week now ...done a trip to the beach 25 mins and it was fine ...Yesterday I went to Iraklion 2 and a half hours each way. A mixture of twisty narrow roads down off our mountain and the main road west, motorway for a good bit of it ..It did very well ..smooth and comfortable at 110 kph. It was very hot so we used climate control used a few times it worked fine ..I did a rough calculation on the kilometres per ltr and came up with 16.96 ...then I remembered the trip function and that gave me 17.2 Kpl ..that works out at 78 kilometres per gallon or if my maths is correct is 48 mpg !...that is amazing ...well pleased ...

Yes Eklipze3k I hope so ...I think there was a bit of an "Italian tune up "effect on the the way back either that or I had just got more confidence in it ...but the fuel consumption is a big plus , I think my mazda truck does about 10 kilometres for 1 ltr of diesel....so the Idea is a keeper for when there is no heavy stuff involved ...service next week ....
