Newbie help
I have a Fiat Scudo 2004 JTD and the other day had loss of power and black smoke I found split in lower elbow so I’ve repaired it and refitted it now no black smoke and normal power resumed but now I have a whistling noise when I accelerate hard but not if I drive slowly and no noise revving it in neutral
Help much appreciated

Perhaps the repair is leaking, or there's another small hole somewhere (perhaps from moving things when inspecting them)? My van (same year/model) had a split near the end of a little hose tee-ing off a fat hose into a metal pipe on the RHS of the engine as you look at it from in front. A bit was trimmed off and the metal pipe re-inserted.

EDIT: From previous post 2015: "a leak in the turbo pipe where a thin pipe tees into the thick one that you can see under where the battery is"
