Good morning all. Just thought I'd say hello. Have bought a lovely 100 hp Panda yesterday. I now feel complete! One initial question some of you might be able to help with. It is running on Avon ZV3 (I believe current tyre replacement like for like would be ZV7), but in 195/50 15 as opposed to the standard 195/45 15.
Fronts have about 6 mm on, rears about 4 at best but were made in 2011 so really in need of replacing anyway!
I don't really want to throw the fronts away but would prefer to return to 195/45. If I did that then Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 seems the only way to go?
The 195/50 gives a better ride no doubt, but won't it understate the speedo reading by 3.5%? Meaning that if the car shows I am travelling at 60 I'm actually doing 62?
Probably just need 2 new tyres shortly, stick with the same brand so all the same and enjoy!
Any thoughts from the wise!?

I have 195/50's (Uniroyal Rainsport 3's). They make my speedometer read 100% right according to GPS-speed. I would stick with them.
Make sure you have the same size on all corners. Otherwise your ABS will throw a tantrum.

I have General Altimax Sport in 195-50-15. They grip well, are great in the wet, minimal road noise and were very reasonably priced. The extra wall height (over 45s) gives the rims a slightly easier time. They are not the toughest wheels so every little helps.

forgot to ask......do you run 195/50 at the same pressures of 2.2F/2.1R bar? Thanks.

That's quite a bit up on the recommended 2.2/2.1 but I guess more is needed due to more air and the higher tyre wall.....think I'll try 2.3 first and see how I go! Thanks again!

I run the Fiat recommended tyre pressures and it's fine.

I've got water leaking into the foot well on my 100HP, looks like the rubber has come away from the window, wiper section running across the width of the car. Any ideas of rough cost to replace, or would a reclaimed one work? Keen to know thoughts.

Check the scuttle drains (aka duck bills). They should allow rain water to drain away but get clogged with sludge.
