Since my latter thread was not so eagerly accepted I thought I’d take it to a new place with new questions :
As previously stated I am on the hunt for a YeYe green 500. I’m aware they discontinued them 2010 time so any car I buy will be old and I am fully aware will come with many a problem (I’ve bought old fiats before; a few fixer uppers, I’m not new to this rodeo and always get them AA checked and set aside a budget for repairs etc etc etc I KNOW THIS.) But what I wanted are ~YOUR~ opinions on what things I should be looking out for and asking owners of the cars before visiting specifically when it comes to 500s - I have my own list of wares I’ve picked up and know to hinder around when considering older fiats but I’m not a whizz and it seems others of you are way more passionate about my education in the matter so I’m opening this up to things i may not yet have considered - teach away.
Side note : I am set on buying one of these old cars so I do not request your opinion in its pricing, but just what you think I should be wary of when looking at an old 08/09fiat in terms of condition/mechanics/replacements/rust. Specifically things you may have encountered.
