Hi All
I've just joined the Fiat Forums so I'd like to say hello. My name's John and I live near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
I've got a Ducato 2.3 JTD X250 based motorhome which I bought 4 years ago and its been great so far. Other than engine oil and filter the only thing I've had to change in 23K miles is the battery.
I'm usually do my own maintenance and my first big job on the van will be changing the cambelt - the van is only on 28,000 miles but is coming up to 7 years old so it probably needs doing to be on the safe side.
I do have a slight problem though - my oil light is flashing and the 'change engine oil' message is being displayed on the dashboard.
I've tried 2 different OBDC2 gadgets but they can't reset the oil change indicator. I don't want to pay a garage to reset it as they'll charge £140 to change the oil first. I changed it myself 4,000 miles ago.
Anyone got a tip on how to switch the indicator off before the ECU automatically goes into limp mode?
Cheers
