Afternoon all. I wanted to drop a message to introduce myself.

I'm Chris, 39 and have just bought my wife a bravo. So far it's a nice little car. Really impressed with the response. I find it a little slow compared to my audi 1.8t, but I realise it's not going to be lighting quick.

I would like to upgrade it somewhat from standard. This is my first fiat. So be kind to me.

Chris.

Now that's the kind of mod I like the sound of to start with.

I'm also going to be doing some research on what power mods work and don't work. I have an audi a4 1.8t that didn't stay completely standard. It's now running 240bhp. I know from reading so far I Dont think I will get that with this. But would be no e to see what I can get. Car has had the gb reconditioned along with a new clutch kit.

190 is possible with the standard IHI turbo with upgraded induction, intercooler and boost sensors from Abarth SS. After that if you can get your hands on a GT1446 turbo and 380cc injectors then you’ll be running similar power to your A4 no problem.

Has the reconditioned gearbox got the new endcase design and stronger bearings installed? The new endcase design helps supply oil to the bearings through an extra channel, something the original design missed causing a lack of oil to the bearings and bearing failure. I’ve heard the new endcase and bearings take the maximum allowable torque for the gearbox over 380nm.

I’ve got a GSR induction kit and Forge recirculation valve and wastegate actuator tuning kit. It sounds nuts with the dump valve and induction kit, I’ve not mapped it yet as I’ve concentrated on chassis upgrades the past few months. I’ve got Powerflex bushes all round (4 wishbone bushes, 2 anti roll bar bushes and 2 rear beam bushes), 20mm Eibach Pro spacers all round and I’m having Vogtland coilovers fitted tomorrow :slayer:

The spacers and bushes have made the handling much better, it lacks a bit of feel as standard with the electric steering so I added the bushes and spacers to try and improve it which they definitely do!

Thank you for the info so far. Really nice to be part of somewhere that actually helps people. This is the wife's kiddy chariot. But having the extra power alleys helps to get out of the sticky situations. I just need to source some wheels for it. As it's currently sat on steels and trims. This makes me feel sick every time I look at them.... Lol
