Hi All

I am new to this site, i hve a fiat punto which went into limp mode yesterday after getting to about 60mph and 25-30k revs.
The coil light is flashing after i have started up the engine could this be the cause off isue?

Hi, and welcome,
it's a 1.3 diesel.. the glowplug symbol only generally signifies a glowplug circuit fault.

for other issues I would expect the engine warning light ( yellow)

cheapest thing to try ( undo the BLACK cable battery clamp) the NEGATIVE terminal,
leave it off for at least 2 hours,
then reconnect and restart engine,
this MAY clear an issue.

better still get the engine ECU scanned for faults.. but this will cost money..

does the engine start , and idle OK.. or is it "lumpy"

Hi Charlie

It doesn’t seem to be an issue starting at present, I plugged it in last night and I got the error code PO235 which I no is the overbooat so hopefully it is just a easy sensor fix.
What are your thoughts?
