Hello

I have just purchased a Fiat 500 2012 Twinair. Eco mode on. 31k on the clock.

However I think it may have an issue when driving along and working your way through the gears up to 35ph etc. When you go from 3rd to 4th gear at 40mph the car labours and judders (clearly in the wrong the gear). You can only get a smooth ride in 5th gear when doing 60mph.

The electronic gear shift indicator is telling me to change up a gear so something has to be wrong?

The dealer isn't being as helpful as I would like and suggested it may be my driving. All my previous cars have been happy in 4th and 5th gear over 30mph.

This type of driving at speed in 3rd will surely harm the fuel economy?

Advice and help most welcome!

Welcome to the forum.

My wife has a TA105 which will quite happily do 30 in 4th so it does sound like something is amiss. Do you get the same issue in other gears at the same speed, or in 4th at different speeds?
Any warning lights on the dash?

Hi, no 1st and 2nd gears are smooth to accelerate unto 3rd so it just 4 and 5th. Plus no warning light on dash. I can't believe its my driving and my partners has had the same issue.
