hello,

I am new on here, so HELLOOOOOO.

i need some help on a brake master cylinder for my Mk 1 Punto Sporting.

I have tried all the usual Fiat, Euros, Allparts Etc and getting no where as i'm getting told its obsolete, and the after market one is a lot longer in length and don't really want to muck about with the pipes.

any ideas ???

:bang:

well the master cylinder for a mk1 punto is same across the range so you dont need to find one specific to the sporting, the GT has same one as a 55 or sporting or even the diesel.
Not heard of them being longer, or different at all when aftermarket. If you have got one and its different its seems more likely whoever you got it from has supplied the wrong part.
To my knowledge fiat have never supplied the master cylinder separately if you get it from the stealership - they supply the complete servo and cylinder as one unit for something silly like £350 or something utterly ridiculous.

I had a quick look around and seems to be plenty of mk1 master cylinders available, they all look the same no matter what brand you get. Loads on ebay or look on MisterAuto - https://www.mister-auto.co.uk/brake-master-cylinder/fiat-punto-176-85-16v-1-2-86hp_v8961_g258.html

Seems like they sell it separate… What's your VIN number ??

BRs, Bernie
