Hi folks!

Having learned to drive in a Panda 1000S some 27 years ago, I’ve got back into the Fiat fold with a mk2 Panda 4x4 all ready for the winter!

Test driving it yesterday instantly brought back memories of ripping round the New Forest when I was 18 and how much fun can be had in them when compared to the very grown up-ness of my every day BMW 535i!!

Just got to drive it back from Shrewsbury to Newbury this afternoon so, fingers crossed, all goes well!!!

The car is a black 2007 Panda 4x4 with 106k miles. All seems to be straight with it but I’m not too au fait with what to look for. If anyone can offer any sage advice for common things to check / replace when i get it home, I’d be most grateful!!

Welcome to the forum :)

First off, a little correction - 2007 is Mk3, the Mk2 was updated version of the original Panda, with enough improvements to warrant a change in Mk. :)

As far as what to look for - 2007 4x4 I think will have the 1.2 engine, or is it a Cross with the 1.3 diesel? The usual things - rust, warning lights, steering pull, etc - always do an MOT history check too.

Ah. Sorry. Yes, mk3.

Thanks for the heads up. This is a 1.2 petrol.

It needs a bit of money spending on it to correct a few small things, but I couldn’t see, hear of feel anything untoward while looking it over and driving it. Fingers crossed!
