hi all
im new to this and need some help .
i have an 08 fiat punto grande eleganza,
i went out to move my car on thursday and reversed out of my car park as i went to select 1st gear my car started flashing on the dashboard gear unavailable check transmission(this has happened before and didnt worry me ) i waited for the error code to go which it didnt so i done what i have done before and switched the engine off.however when i went to restart it their was nothing all the electrics worked but the car wouldnt even try to start.i called greenflag who told me it was saying neutral on the dash but when we went to push it ,it was stuck in gear.please can someone help me so i can get some advice on what to do.

thanks eclipze i will have a look through hopefully its not expensive.even if i can get it out of gear to get into my garage

Just a thought... does the pump run when you open the drivers door, same as usual, or not?

Is the hydraulic pump spinning then shuts off when you open de driver's door ?
