Hello! I'm a newbie with a new to me (2nd hand) fiat and have a problem and I hope someone can provide advice...And I live in France, so wonder if any members also live here...


The ASR light comes on, and warning lights (3) show on the dash with a note to: look in the manual...


1 is it safe to drive short distance (1 km) to garage


any idea what the garage might find? I'd like to be forewarned with a bit of knowledge.


The air con seems to have an intermittent problem...assume that is not related, but I hate to assume anything...

It is probably just a sensor issue.
With a week.old used purchase.. its quite possible its down to a dip in battery voltage on a cold start.

Sensors are set.up to have a steady 12volt supply.. if power from an elderly battery struggles to keep.up with a
Starter
Fuel pump
Aircon
Headlights.... etc

The voltage could well drop.. flagging an error.


Personally I would drive the @1 km.to the garsge.. But at a cautious speed.. with no passengers.
