Hi all,

My good friend Andrew and I are driving from London to Mongolia (over 10,000 miles) in a Fiat Panda CLX Fire 1000 from 1995 (nicknamed “Fiammetta” or small flame in Italian). We are raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, the Mental Health Foundation (more specifically, the Peer Education Project) and Cool Earth. We are on Instagram, under the name @thegengits – where we hope to post daily from now until the start of the rally on July 14, and then subsequently throughout the rally (including with drone footage).

We are leaving in just 2 weeks and have not started buying any spare parts! We were hoping for some advice about what is most likely to go wrong and what parts we should bring. Any advice is very very welcome! :worship::worship:

You need cam belt fan belt. Set of plugs. A new battery
New tyres Get. Cross ply tyres commercial. These are hard warring and should be long lasting they don’t punture easily. Ensure no oil leaks and the inner garters are not leaking oil top up the gear box with ep 80 gl4 oil keep a eye on that every 2-3!dsys check no oil is leaking before starting each moring if so top up the gear box engine oil too if you take 20/50 oil it can be used in both. Better to have the wrong oil rather than none. Please also post on Facebook. Fiat panda classic owners group with your story DONT LEAVE I T THERE It’s a ‘$4000 fine so drive It back and enjoy it. 16000 km nice daily updates please.
