Hi everyone, is there anyone who can tell me which of the following are the + and - wires for the rear speakers in my 2004 punto? ive looked at a haynes manual but the colours are different

left speaker
Orange/blue
Orange/green

right speaker
red/yellow
red/grey

any help would be great

Replacing the rears with aftermarkets?
Save the hassell buy the adaptors off ebay
That way you know thr + & - are the right way

Speakers arent polarity sensitive tona degree
If you do it wrong way around instead of pushing air makinh decent sound they suck air and well suck....

no the person who owned the car before me has decided for some unknown reason to cut the wires from the speaker adaptor?! so im left with hanging wires that are not connected to anything

You can do it the hard way and follow the wire to the head unit. Even then you need to work out from the connector which one is + and which one is -.

However, it does not mater how you connect the speaker anyway, as +/- is an indication of phase only. The + terminal is not always positive then the - terminal as the sound is an AC signal. So unless you are bothered about precise phase then you don't need to worry about it. If you think you can hear the difference, just make the wire swap-able so you can select which way it sounds better.
