Just wanted to say a quick hello. Just bought the above having swapped my Mini Cooper so big change. Getting used to the car and loving it so far.

Welcome. I did the same swap back in 2011! My Cooper was the original R50 model from 2004, with the 1.6 Chrysler built engine, and I was surprised at how close the 85bhp 500 came in terms of performance, at least subjectively.
You will find plenty of info and advice on this forum. The main thing with the twinair engine is to ensure that it has an oil and filter change at least every 10,000 miles, using the oil specification in the handbook.
I kept my 500 for 6 years and there was never a hint of trouble from the engine in 45,000 miles. Enjoy!

Small world. Mine was the primal R50 model as well from 2005.
Yes, my twinair is a 2011 but has only done 22,000 miles so far. Done my research and read up on here on which oil to use (5W40 I believe) so will Definately look after the car as advised. So far loving it. Great little car and fun to drive.
