I have just ordered one of the above, so thought I should join the Fiat Forum and learn as much as possible about them I have asked the Dealer a number of questions about the car and still await answers, so I won't ask the same questions again here. I would however appreciate all and any information about these cars. The good, the bad, and the indifferent

Thanks in advance

Dont hold your breath asking the dealers! They cannot tell me how the 4x4 system works. I can assure you it does though. And some.

It will take 4000 miles before the engine software lets you have the engine in full power mode. Be warned its very frustrating but worth waiting for the moment you get it working in run in mode.

I like mine a lot and think ts a sound choice. Enjoy!!!

Back again, with another query, which is: My camper van and motorbikes use a Garmin satnav which I transfer from one to the other as required. I do not have a smartphone. However my new 4x4 Panda has a mount on the dash for a smartphone which can be used as a satnav, and I would prefer to use this rather than transfer the Garmin yet again especially as there is a dedicated Usb. Question is can I get a cheap, no contract, smartphone just to use as a satnav in the Panda?
Still not done many miles in Panda but think it is great. the 6 speed box can be a little vague on the change from time to time, but maybe I should just concentrate more. Exhaust noise is addictive, love it!

Thanks Varesecrazy, will descend on my Smartphone Emporium first thing tomorrow. Actually it will be second thing tomorrow, first thing is reserved for my 50 quid Suzuki's MOT

Some of the entry level Samsung models offer large screens (good for seeing them clearly in the car) for not much money (low specifications, but it's not like you'll be trying to run the latest games on them). Also, good luck with the MOT!

Not yet got a phone (for Satnav) as my daughter is coming to stay for a few days and she has a supply of old phones as she updates hers every so often for the latest model. Also the bike (£50 Suzuki) passed its MOT with NO advisories

Thanks everyone for the helpful info. Not yet done many miles in the new "Active Grey" 4x4 Panda but each time I drive it I know I bought the right car. If I knew how I would post a pic of it, but if it ain't got a kick start, it is too technical for me (Panda excepted)
Off to a motorbike rally in south of France soon, to meet a bunch of mainly octogenarian old mates. We will probably drink a glass or three of the local very good (and cheap straight from the pump at the local winery) red, sample some of the good French cooking, swim in the pool at the river, and have a few ride's out. Tough I kinow but some one has to do it! All I have to do now is decide whether to ride the BMW GS or the Egli-Vincent or go in the camper with my wife's new Scooter in the back, think I may opt for the scooter as she needs some practice, she 's only been riding for 53 years:)
