Hello all from a first timer.
I have been restoring "Sophia" for a long time (no further details). I have rebuilt the engine and enhanced it some (balance, blueprint, large valves, heavier valve springs, tuned header, Weber 32/36 dvg carb.). Reworked/ replaced suspension to lower and stiffen some, rebuilt diff. and inspected and cleaned the rest of the drive train. Working on the body now and ready soon for paint. Then finish it all and DRIVE IT!

A few weeks ago it would not start, but cranked and had fuel. Found no spark and broken wiring and insulation throughout. Found a wiring harness (through Painless) that was for a 70s era Chevy. Being color blind I was a bit concerned, but the instructions noted that each wire had from-to, final connections on either end, routing and area of the vehicle (front, cockpit, tail). Further, I found instructions specifically adapting this harness to my car (not 100%, but the additions ; marker lights, lic. plate lights, etc, were easy for me to do). I am about 85% complete before I test it all, but it looks good. Some difficulties noted in trying to adapt "sub-harnesses" (st. column switch assys and instr. cluster) but I think they will succumb to my efforts.

One problem I have is finding A switch for the exterior lighting. Instructions (the adaptation one) said they can't use the original Fiat switch with this harness. I have had problems trying to find a switch (double pole, triple throw - off/on/on or on/on/on). Any ideas?:bang::bang:
