Hi and thanks for letting me join. Wondering if anyone can help please. I had to be rescued by AA two weeks ago as my vehicle came to a stop, steaming and a nightmare! Long story short, it’s taken the garage until now as they were busy, to tell me, thought it was the head gasket etc as a a water pipe had burst,I had no warning lights at all. Anyway, the cylinder head I think has been for pressure testing and the vehicle didn’t overheat,turned out it’s a piston,looks like it’s worn at the side, just one. It’s a 1991 and they now say they will try to source a piston. I’ve had s look and seems difficult.im wondering if anyone has any ideas, and also will my van be ok after this? It didn’t overheat and engine was still able to run. Any ideas for parts, the company that tested is supposed to be trying at the moment, many thanks,?
