Hi everyone, bought a Barchetta two months ago, very rare over here too. Already have an issue with the sensor maf (hitachi afh60m-15) is it a common issue and can be cleaned have to disconnect it and the car drives but lumpy drive and no pull. Connect it and it wont start.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Hopefully someone will add some pointers. However, yes you can clean the maf but be very careful, use carboureter/injector cleaner sprayed into the area and this may help.
Was the car running okay before this problem started? Have you done anything to the engine bay before this problem started?
Are there any wires detached from the maf connector, any splits in the rubber air intakes. Answers to these questions may help someone else provide pointers.

As Steve says, check the piping for split's, that for sure will cause problems.

Hi and welcome. I cleaned my maf sensor with pcb cleaner and qtips, the two platinum sensors were crusty and are quite sturdy. It’s not too difficult to remove. Remove the plastic air ducts , battery,battery tray,and you will need a special tool to remove the ss bands. Check the air filter isn’t split or replace anyway. I also cleaned the air idle valve because I was having issues with the car wanting to stall when moving off when engine hot. Seems to have cured the problem. Good look.
