Hello, newbie from Plymouth, UK here.
I own a 500 Twinair, and have been browsing the forum for several months. I finally decided to sign up. So hi.

Thank you. The only problem I have with it at the moment is the windscreen washer jets.
They squirt my feet inside the car instead of the window.

This is by no means an unusual issue.

The washer system will self-disassemble if it is allowed to freeze, so it's important to use the correct strength of a good quality screenwash additive in winter weather.

So it's a common fault? Easily fixable?

Should be an easy fix; usually you can just push the tubes back together. If one has split due to freezing, it's easy enough to splice in a replacement section and the necessary parts can be bought from any decent parts supplier for peanuts.

But as always, prevention is better than cure and this is probably a good time for all 500 owners to check they've got enough frost protection in their screenwash.
