Idea just got an 05 idea eleganza 1.4 16v

hi all
new hear and just got a idea eleganza. 55 plate. got a couple of issues with it showing a parking sensor fault (any tips on these) and rhs front wheel knocknig/ groaning when i turn or drive slow. fortunatly that one is getting fixed for free.
have had a look about but im terrible with searching anything overly commen to watch for?
and i saw somwhere say it is baisically a punto mk2 does that mean parts are interchangable mecanically wise.
one last thing where can i find a volume knob its annoying me lol

Welcome to the forum and to Idea ownership. You have the same model as me, we are few and far between lol

Yes the Idea is based off the Punto Mk2, but don't fall into the trap that Punto parts will fit. Buy a copy of ePer off Ebay (Version 84 was last disc one) and then you'll have access to all the part numbers for your vehicle which helps with sourcing parts.

Parking sensor maybe the connector in the boot area just needs cleaning.

If you look in the Idea section there is a sticky with stuff you can download that will help with finding/fixing problems.

You'll want to download eLearn which is Fiats repair manual for this vehicle.

Drop me a PM I have a spare volume knob for the stereo if that's what your after and can post it for free if you want it (assuming you have the grey version & not the black interior) or ebay sell them also for about £12, the later ones with the grips are better than the earlier smooth type ( I only have a smooth type spare):
