Hi all, I've just replaced the oil pressure switch (my dealer wanted £130 quid on top of the £60 he charged me for testing the ECU)! Yellow warning triangle was illuminated on dash and the START/STOP wasn't working (which is what I took it in for). Collected the car to be told it was the oil pressure switch.....I didn't believe them. They said it was leaking oil which was contaminating a connector block.....it wasn't!!
My question is: does the error code need removing from the ECU now it has as new switch? as the triangle is still on. Or is it likely to be another fault (which is what I suspect. They want another £60 now to retest and come up with another money earner. Feeling ripped off.

North East Scotland. What sort of assistance are you thinking of?

Using plug in software to see what the cars ECU and body computer are actually seeing.

AC dont seem to have a very good reputation..

There are a few members up your way with the correct kit. Charlie

Always worth unplgging the battery overnight.. it may clear the stored error..
And its free

Tried that as it's what AC tell you to do when you have a Start/Stop issue and they really can't be bothered. Yes they are rubbish at after sales, I was warned, but what can you do!? I'll get one of them there reader-me-bobs and check the code for myself, I don't believe they've actually been anywhere near the car.....unless sending the goffer out for the fish & chips counts.

Thanks anyway Charlie.
